The bright side – E-commerce the reasons why it works despite the pandemic threat
Aka
The coronavirus impacted global markets dramatically freezing a lot of investing opportunities and putting projects on hold what hinder growth.
However, there are some bright sides of this pandemic time…. Re-think E-commerce.
E-commerce is one of those interesting chimaeras that even though there are such dramatic factors as social distancing, the threat of the further spread of viruses that separate people from each other, a closure of brick and mortar as well as fear of general publics – retailers, suppliers should accelerate the shift of retail online, which is not only sustainable in the time of crisis but also after the crisis ends.
Social distancing means the inability of travelling and connecting in the real world, cancelling trips, working from home, ordering food in, and stockpiling basics that are necessary such as food and toilet paper and also ordering some treats such as home devices, fashion accessories and other indulgencies.
With brands that outgo their offering by introducing new subscription-based services such as tv, apps or games entertainment to enjoy at home – there is an obvious need for other service-based companies that could successfully introduce e-commerce model into their offerings.
For example – restaurants – could transform themselves into food delivery service with new workplaces (e-commerce, delivery people) being opened or manufacturers that serve major OEMs by incorporating the model of e-commerce transactional platforms could open up new revenue channels for their partners to simply click and book a new component or tooling for their aircraft or automotive engines.
